It was so fun for me to watch Jared run his first race. Lincoln and I drove down to the finish line after the race had started, so we could see everyone finish. It was really cool to see the variety of people who were running. Old, young (an 8 year old girl ran it in 27 min), fat and thin. It was really exhilarating to see them push themselves to the end and the pride on their face once they finished.
A very proud son
When Jared crossed the finish line Lincoln was cheering him on and after he passed he turned to me and said, "Mom, that was Awesome!!!" It really was awesome.
Our friends from our neighborhood ran it too.
After the race there was a parade for Syracuse days. Lincoln loved the firetrucks and all the candy but the pirate ship/truck that had real cannons was his favorite.

Is it just me or is Lincoln's hair getting longer? I think it is cute. Way to go Jared, Good job on the 5k.
