Ruby's Day

I'm not going to get mushy or complain about time passing. I just love my little lady and I love being her momma. We decided to try and make today as fun and easy for a 1 year old as we could.

While brother was off to kindergarten I took her shopping, every girl needs a few new clothes for her birthday! Lincoln was so sad to leave today. He wanted to be there for her birthday. He wrote her a story (all about motocross) and drew her pictures. He would sing to her all day and told anyone and everyone it was his baby sisters birthday today. He is a really really good big brother, I'm so happy they love each other. We'll see how long it lasts. :)
Then it was lunch with Lincoln and he was off to Montessori, while he was gone Ruby got to go to the park with just her Mom and her Dad! She was loving all the attention, but nothing made her happier than going down the slide. Over and Over and Over. She got so good at it. She just wants to be as big as everyone else.
Next on the agenda, after a very nice long nap, was family swimming.

Ruby loves the water and loves to swim. She of course had a blast and we need to go again very soon. It was so fun to watch her in the waves at the pool and to see her get so excited.
She doesn't have any fear in her.
We had a little present for her, a purse with its own phone and keys! She was so excited about the phone and knew exactly what to do.

Finally it was cupcake time. She blew the candle out, well does licking count? And downed that cupcake like a pro. Baby girl loves herself some chocolate. She wants chocolate anytime she sees it. Its funny how much she likes sweets. Lincoln never has really, so its really funny to me to see her loving all the sweets.

We love our baby girl!
