3:30am.....

Lincoln leans over me and kisses me, "Bye mom." I hear him walk around to Jared and kiss him, "Bye Dad, I'm off to work." We both say bye. I hear him walking out and try to figure out what just happened. He comes back to me, "Mom, I need your help making lunch for work." I start to stir and open my eyes a little, glance at the clock...3:30AM I know he is serious because with further observation I see his is dressed in his robe, his back pack and other work paraphernalia. We try to explain what time it is, but he doesn't care, he's on his way to the kitchen, "c'mon mom"
I decide it's better to get him a lunch and put him to bed than force him with a big tantrum. I was thinking what would get him(and me) back to sleep the soonest. We make an amazing lunch consisting of a lemon, a clementine, a bagel, cream cheese, and a Popsicle. filled a sippy with milk and he was set. (We made a deal, if we made him a lunch he had to go back to bed)
When we arrived at his room I noticed he had to have been up for at least an hour. All his toys were out as were a ton of books. We cleaned up, I had to go through his night time routine, scriptures, stories then he fell asleep.
Needless to say he was tired getting on the bus this morning, as for his momma? I need a coke.

I remember the kiss and him leaving the room, had no idea what followed! Thanks for helping him pack his lunch Anna, I'll have to try the lemon and popsicle in my next lunch. I wonder how much "JAM" pays...are they hiring?

um.. . I don't think I would have been so nice.
I wonder how long he'd been up.

You are a nice mom, I don't think I would have been so kind at that time of the morning.

Oh man, that is a rough night. What a character. I wonder what woke him up at 3 in the morning and possessed him to go to "work"? Funny. I agree though, sometimes it is easier to go along with their whims than to face a fit!

You are officially the coolest mom ever! The thought of being nice to someone who just woke me up at 3:30 in the morning is not in my character. Hope he knows what a cool mom you are (I imagine he does) :)

You're such a nice Mommy. Michael would have been sent to the couch to watch Sesame street (which is on from 3 a.m.-6 a.m.) I sure hope he got paid a lot. That's adorable!

You are very nice. I would have sent my child right back to their room with strict instructions to let me sleep.
